Are We Running Out of Oil?

We “all” know it that the day will come, rather sooner than later, that we will run out of fossil fuels.  But, again, will we really?

Oil, natural gas, coal.  We almost ran out of it, oil that is, in the seventies of the twentieth century, supposedly.  No, I don’t remember those long lines.  No, I don’t believe it, either.  Then the prices went up through the roof a few times indicating, supposedly again, the end of the world as we know it, and came down again, basically, when either the economy cooled down or the oil producing territories stabilized, or … for what-ever other reason.

I remember those days, and it was not so long ago, when we were paying US $.95 per gallon at COSTCO.  Yes, under 1.00 (one) US dollars per gallon of unleaded gasoline.  Now, when it’s 4 (four) times more expensive, do you think, all of the sudden, we used it all up?  It simply doesn’t add up.

I still remember my first truly American USA brand and US made car - a Ford - 1972 Ford Galaxy.  That was a guzzler!!!  Years later I drove my everyday work horse Honda Accord and our family minivan Chevy Lumina APV.  How can you compare the gas millage of those vehicles against the first one?  The improved fuel efficiency is just mind blind blowing.

I also remember when in less than a month price at the pump went up from that 1 (one) buck to 2.5 (two and a half).  Are you telling me, that all of the sudden somebody realized, that we are almost out of it?  Again?
